Welcome to the Workers Of Eruta FLOSS project.

Welcome

We, the maintainer(s) and/or contributor(s), of this FLOSS project, welcome you and thank you for your interest in it. This project is brought to you with the hope that it will be useful to you, but without any warranty whatsoever. Please read the LICENSE for more details about this.

We welcome and appreciate contributions from everybody. By contributions we mean code, documentation, art work, project outreach in form of setting up conferences or working groups, package maintenance, answering and asking questions in our forums, providing bug reports, or any other other material or work to advance the goals of this project. If you contribute to our project, then we will do our best to seriously consider your opinions and concerns.

No matter who you are, no matter where you are from, and no matter your opinions on any topic, we will welcome your contributions to this project as long as they are compatible with the project's goals and license. The goals of this project are described in a GOALS file, or in other design documents specified by the maintainer(s).

If you are new to this project, even if you lack experience, we would like to encourage you to participate. But, you will need to invest some time and effort yourself to get to know the project, to learn it's goals and to learn how to make a useful contribution.

How to participate in this project

We want everyone entering our community willing to help out to feel welcomed. To maintain and encourage a welcoming environment we ask of everyone involved in the project to follow these general guidelines:

  1. Everyone should try to stay on topic. Please refrain from posting SPAM, trolling, irrelevant discussions, other off topic material.

  2. Everyone should try to behave like a reasonable adult. Please refrain from personal attacks, dog piling, bullying or other similar activities.

  3. Keep the project goals in mind. Please refrain from demands to change the goals if you are not a maintainer.

When the project maintainer(s) consider it necessary, any contribution or participation in the project that violates these guidelines may be removed or edited. At the discretion of the maintainer(s), someone who maliciously or, after having been warned repeatedly, keeps on disregarding these guidelines, may be temporarily or permanently banned from contributing to the project.

Naturally, these guidelines only apply within the context of the project. It is not our role to judge your behavior that is not directly related to the project. The maintainer(s) of this project will not apply any in project sanction on the pretext of your unrelated behavior. We do this because would like to welcome anyone, even people with unpopular opinions.

The maintainer(s) of this project will do their best to follow these guidelines themselves also, but since they rightfully own the project, they cannot be banned.

These guidelines are in no way a substitute for the laws of your country, which you should already obey anyway.

What to do in case of problems

If you feel that you or your contribution are not being treated fairly, if you feel concerned about your personal safety, or if someone is engaged in illegal behavior, contact the maintainer(s) of this project at .
We will do our best to remedy the situation and respect your privacy.

How to contribute

When you want make a contribution the maintainer(s) of this project or someone appointed by them will perform a review. We would like to let you know that we will do our best to review your contributions fairly, and only take into consideration relevant factors, such as compatibility with the goals of the project, the absence of technical errors, practical advantages, ....

The review process may be quite intense and severely critical, but the goal of the review is to improve your contribution so it can be integrated into the project without problems. We will do our best to focus our criticism on the contribution itself.

How to become a maintainer

When it comes to the goals of this project, your suggestions are most welcome. But it is important to know that goals of this project are decided by this project's maintainer(s). By virtue of the time and effort they put in this project, they have earned the privilege of defining the project's goals.

If you are interested in becoming a maintainer, we ask to please contact the current maintainer(s) to ask them how to achieve this. If so inclined, you may also fork this project and become the maintainer of that fork to develop it according to your own goals.
